Hisense t.v. 43 inch | 25 June 2025 | Claremont branch Hirschs
My husband Reza purchased a high sense t.v. 43 inch | 25 June 2025 | Claremont branch Hirsch's. Upon arrival at home I was with him when he installed the t.v. when we plugged it in it had a line right through the screen.
There were no scratches on the t.v. (an evaluator from Hisense Kyle came out to look at it and there were no marks or damage on the outside of the t.v. confirmed) the damage was on the inside of the t.v. itself.
In store they did a check and the t.v. worked my issue is - I can confirm we did not mishandle the t.v. and after they showcased the t.v. to my husband they had to re-wrap it up and put it back into the box. So between them and us we can't decipher where the issue was.
My husband went back the very next day to the store and spoke to Dhivian Moodley who said there’s nothing he can do. My understanding is as a customer, we can return items within a 7 day period. He just dismissed him. I then called Dhivian and he was not very helpful, he was rude and even blamed me for mishandling the t.v. and taking it out of the box which I did not do. Stating it was not their issue and we must have dropped it or cracked the t.v. I could not believe the accusations and arrogance.
I am appalled at the level of service at Hirsh's Claremont, the level of dismissal, how we were treated as customers, not hearing us out, blaming us for fault on the t.v. unit and no one being able to assist us in replacing the t.v. that left us out of pocket of R4,500.
