Hirschs Somserset West - Never again

I suppose every family will buy a new fridge (or possibly x2 at the same time) once or twice in their lifetime. We decided it was time to sell and throw away our fridges and buy x2 identical Defy fridge/freezer units from Hirsch’s in Somerset West.

This was the worst, most disappointing experience that we have had in very long time. The problems started the day of the delivery, both fridges had scratched plastics on the inside and a broken hinge in the one freezer. Reported it to Hirschs, they wanted to send a truck to collect both units, where do I put all the contents of x2 fridges and freezers until new units are delivered? I said I prefer for the damaged parts to be replaced. Hirschs decided to pass me onto Defy directly (after the store manager didn’t have any more excuses), a technician came to look at the damaged/broken parts and in the process broke a door in the freezer. Its been months (bought in August 2020) since the technician was here with absolutely zero feedback, whenever I call for an update I get the same message “waiting for parts”. I’ve given up, I will never support Hirschs Somerset West and Defy ever again.
