Hirsch's smeg washing machine nightmare

I bought a Smeg washing machine online on January 20, 2024, and it was delivered the following day, January 21, 2024. The machine malfunctioned on January 27, 2024, and I immediately reported the malfunction in person at Hirch's Fourways. I was advised that my matter would be taken up with their online team. A week went by, and there was no one following up on my matter, so I decided to call the Fourways branch once again. They confirmed my previous call. They logged another call with their online team. This time around, I was told that a Smeg technician was going to come to my house to test the machine. Indeed, the so-called technician came to my house, and ran a rapid washing circle for 15 minutes, and reported that the machine had no defect. Their technician left. I was also told to video record the malfunction with my cellular phone when it happens again. They called me the following day to request that they pick up the machine to test it at their warehouse. I arranged for the machine to be picked up on Saturday, February 17, 2024. I decided to use the machine before pick-up, and fortunately, the malfunction happened when the pick up guys were present. I even recorded the malfunction and sent it to their technician as was advised. Only for the Smeg technician to advise that the machine had a slide delay in completing the washing circle but it was working 100% as per specifications. Even though the machine had to complete a circle, it would freeze at 1 minute for hours until it went off. It'll then come back on and start from 15 minutes to finish the circle, and stop again at 1 minute. I would not advise anybody to buy anything from Hirsch's. They abuse consumer rights and favour their suppliers. I never felt so violated in my life. Hirsch's even rejected my request to have a different brand of machine to replace the defected smeg machine. They even refused to refund me my money. Please be careful and don't fall victim to Hirsch's poor service. Use reliable retailers like Makro to do their best to please their customers.
