Hirsch's drooped standards

I have always been an avid supporter of Hirsch's, having spent upwards of 300k with them over the years. Sadly, this has come to an end as a result of rude and unprofessional client service. I bought a cheapish Defy tumble drier a couple of days ago, it was delivered without a box, just wrapped in plastic with the edges covered with polystyrene. I refused to accept it without a box and sent it back. Even though it was cheap, why should I accept it in poor cladding? I was not willing to open it and find potential scratches and dents due to rough handling. That would have meant sending it back and waiting another week for redelivery; why not deliver it in a box? I am not a secondhand consumer. I got a rude call this morning from a lady from Head Office basically telling me to take it or get a refund; well, I took the refund, but it's not that hard up; I would rather go to Makro and buy a unit there; at least I know what to expect. Hirsch's, this is really a step down on your normally great service; I will sadly not be supporting you ever again.
