Hirsch's deceive with extended warranty

Hirsch's offer an extended warranty on all the appliances they sell. Before you even get to the counter to pay for the product they are in your face with a clipboard offering you the extended warranty. The problem comes when your appliance breaks during the extended warranty period, they back track and do what they can to get out of honouring it. The lies, deceit, unavailability of people to talk to is unacceptable. On top of that, the technicians they use to repair the appliances aren't qualified and so you can spend months waiting for the appliance to be repaired. In this case it is a fridge and the technician spent a month pouring warm water on a door seal before he diagnosed a faulty fan motor. We were then promised this would be ordered, then we were told to pay 1st, after querying this they agreed we didn't have to pay and promised to repair the part. They said they ordered it and told us it was going to arrive in 3 days time. After 3 days I contacted them and was then told it was going to take 14-21 days to arrive. This means 2 months without a fridge and there is no guarantee of the part arriving and after all the lies how can we believe them. I don't think they should offer an extended warranty if they can't honor it. To me it just seems like a lucrative money making scheme. Disgruntled customer.
