Hirsch's Ballito *******

We went to Hirsch's in Ballito to buy a new washing machine. I have checked their website before we went and have set my mind on a DEV Defy 10kg Steamcure Front Loader Washing Machine - DAW***rpm for R6,799.99. When I got to the store and got "harassed" by all the sales persons that are standing inline to grab the customer when you come through the door. Immediately they state if they can help you - I stated that I want to look around and see the washing machines. Went to the DEFY department which was on the next floor ( which is strange as they have all the products together by brand name and not by type - like refrigerators together, washing machines together and so on). When I finally saw the one that I wanted we found out that it is not a 1400 rpm as per the website but only a 1200rpm and the price was R7100. I checked on there website while in the store and it does not state "online only" - confronted the representative from DEFY with the 1200 rpm and the 1400rpm and he could not give me a clear explanation on how this can be . The sales person from Hirsch's had to go and check and see if I can get the machine in the store for the same price as online. This was approved but I was not impressed with the description online stating 1400 rpm while the machine is only 1200 rpm. So I decided to look around at the other brands. As these were at a different location down stairs you could not really compare them . Finally decided to go for the LG 9kg Silver Front Loader Washing Machine Steamcure 1400 rpm- FH4U2VYP2C for R7,699.99 online and in the store R8080 - after getting approval for the price as per the online price we bought the machine. The sales person then tried to make it a round figure of R7700 which I stated that that is not the price( even if it only a cent) - Finally I paid R7699.99 and took the washing machine home.

One this is sure - this will be the last time that I will go to Hirsh's as they try to rip you off in the store if you did not checked the prices online ! Also the sales persons follow you every step which not really client friendly. The representative inhouse from DEFY was also not up to scratch with the knowledge of the appliances he stands for .
