Hirsch's bad service

My daughter was looking for a fridge and washing machine and I recommended Hirsch's, as when they were in Maritzburg they were excellent. She bought the fridge and washer which was duly delivered to her the next day. She signed the delivery note not realizing it was also a checklist. After they left she opened the fridge to find it was damaged and dented on the inside and outside- we have pics. Also chipped and scratched. She phoned the manager Jerome, at Fourways Mall who said he would look into it. The salesman phoned her back and said that strictly speaking Hirsch's was not liable as she had taken delivery but as a 'FAVOUR' they would replace the fridge. This was 4 hours after delivery! She said he was quite snippy with her-not polite as in the previous day,when making the sale. They were sketchy about the specs and gave her what they called a generic Defy manual. I have never heard of that before. She spent a lot of money there and I felt bad for recommending them. Obviously not the family business they used to be, and a bad reputation now. Our mistake was not reviewing Hello Peter before she bought. We will never use them again.
