HIRSCH STORES & OWNERS USELESS

To start i appeal to everyone to rather find an alternative place to shop than have to deal with the after sale service - Hirsch is VERY quick to TAKE your money but they hate to help after they have! This is fact and have proven it a few times now - not isolated event.

A few months ago we came into your store and purchased a Smeg oven, Samsung double door fridge and recently to add to the order a defy washing machine.

The value being in excess of about R60 000-R70 000, so not a small order. We advised we will call when we need you to deliver due to us renovating our house.

When my wife asked to speak to Marlon she was told he was off that day (first lie by Hirsch) & arranged delivery for earlier this week, there was no mention of delays or problems. I then got a call to say that we had purchased a demo fridge from the floor which we certainly had not! (2nd lie from Hirsch’s side) not a mistake.. a lie because it was then followed up with another call to say sorry we cant deliver your fridge because we don’t have stock of it. In between this i got a call from other people to say that did i only purchase a oven? nothing else just that… then i explained what we had bought and got the runaround again.

Once i detailed that we did not buy a demo you guys said you cant deliver because of no stock and that it was arriving the next day by 12. I explained thats not good enough as i had kitchen fitters fitting my cupboards for the space of the fridge and needed it there to build around it. I cant be responsible for you selling my fridge twice or selling when you don’t have stock.

I was then offered a used one for now and then they would then deliver my new fridge the following day and pick up the used one. I said no as i have just laid new floors and don’t want to now pull in and take out fridges unnecessarily and damage our floors or something so said no as long as i get my fridge the next day, i asked him to assure me of this and he said yes absolutely (another lie).

Needless to say that didnt happen and only got my oven and washing machine, i received another call to say now another story that samsung wasn’t delivering that day and it would now be Monday (this Monday coming) and could only get it then. I mentioned that i was promised my fridge the following day (by warren) and he said i don’t know why he told you that because that was not possible (another lie) I was also then told Marlon resigned and doesn’t work there anymore which highlights the earlier lie. Asked for manager and then got a call to say they can only now deliver Tuesday but yet again can give me a loan fridge which doesn’t help me.

So now i have been **** to several times, pushed back and forth between people who doesn’t know whats going on and the dictated to that thats when you can deliver and that’s that. Hirsch’s bad service and lies and lack of respondence leaves me with nothing but a bad taste in my mouth. You still get your money and that all that matters TO YOU!

It is evident of how you do business.

We have been a very loyal customers - check your records you will see prior to this we bought not so long ago in excess of another 50-60 thousand rands in Tv, decoders, ovens Miele vacuum cleaner etc as my wife and i renovate apartments and sell them off and buy units all the time, we just needed to again now purchase ovens but opted to purchase somewhere else due to our experience.

I now have a need to claim within the warranty of our Miele vacuum cleaner and you guys got back to us very quick to say it will cost ex amount for checking the machine etc but when we highlighted we were still within warranty period its been days since you bothered to come back to us yet again showing your true colours and wonderful after sales experience.

My fridge in the above mentioned complaint is also now faulty and I am loathed to try get another response out of you to explain or check that unit!
