Hirsch Online - very poor service
In December we ordered a wireless set of Philips Headphones that you can plug into the TV. It was meant to be a present for my elderly mother who has hearing problems. The package arrived just before Christmas - so I was happy about that. That's the only positive thing I can say about this experience so far.
However when I tried to setup the headphones on Christmas morning I discovered that the Philips AC/DC adapter was missing that powers the transmitter. On the lid of the box it clearly shows what items are supposed to be in the box. On inspection it was clear the box had been previously opened - there were two Hirsch circular blue stickers over the box flap. I assume someone had previously returned this package and forgotten to include the AC/DC adapter. And Hirsch had not checked the item when it was returned.
At this point I have no idea if the headphones actually work - because I cannot power the transmitter on without the adapter. I sent photographs of the lid and box and the pictures of each of the box contents to customer services - I was then told they needed to wait for management to make a decision?!
The following day - I received an email from the orders dept. stating that the only things that were supposed to be in the box according to the Hirsch website were the headphones and the transmitter! (no rechargeable batteries, no aerial, no instruction manual, no power adapter etc.) Clearly they had no idea how this product operated and hadn't checked the item before dispatching it to us. I showed them the list of items its states on the box lid and instruction manual that were supposed to be included in the box. The only thing out of the list that was missing was the all important power adapter.
I am still waiting. Customer services stated today "I can assure you the team is working to have this rectified for you as soon as possible."
On the basis of the above experience all I can say is don't buy from Hirsch they are very amateurish and their online store seems to be very poorly managed and based on the above will most likely let you down.
