Hirsch make a Hash on Samsung TV Purchase

Hi My name is Vernon Shirley. About five Weeks ago I phoned the Meadowdale Branch to get a Price on a 58" Samsung TV for my office boardroom. I told the Hirsch's sale person that I could get the Unit at Makro at R 8499.00 Incl VAT. The sales person told me that they did not have stock, BUT that they would be getting stock next week and that I must NOT buy from Makro. Because I am a long standing client of Hirsch's, I waited. NO ONE PHONED BACK.

Eventually I phoned them, only to find out that they can not give me a unit at R 8499.00, but at R10 999.00. I was angry and phoned Mr Alan Hirsch himself. Mr Hirsch told me there was nothing he could do (as they were improved models)...tough luc**** I then sourced a unit on the internet at R 8499.00. My wife told me to rather support Hirsch because of our long standing relationship and because of COVID (support local business). I agreed

I paid my R 10 999.00 and the unit was delivered. After just 4 days the set packed up. I have been trying since then to have the set repaired or replaced. It has been almost 14 days now without a TV in my boardroom, We have R&D discussions on a regular basis and the TV is a vital tool for us. I have had no joy, even after phoning Mr Hirsch again complaining. He just sent me a message "Sorry". They keep on blaming Samsung for the delay. Well I did not buy the set from Samsung, I bought it from Hirsch's.

Up to date, I have purchased 10 Samsung TV's from Hirsch's, but am afraid, by the current trend, I can no longer recommend Hirsch's as a reputable store....:-(
