Disappointed at Hirsch

Purchased a Whirlpool fridge with an extended warranty on it. The problem is with the door not closing properly, when the technician came over, he said that the door was opened wide and so the brackets broke. I now have to pay to get it repaired. My point is why should I pay when it is actually a design fault since you cannot open or remove the vegetable racks without opening the door fully. I have an older fridge for 15 years and it opens wide and I have no problems with it. Customer service was supposed to get a sales rep to call me and I have received no call.
