Very dispiriting experience

<p>Very dispiriting experience, avoid this company, rude greedy owner who does not have any clue about logic let alone customer service. While our builder was redoing our roof I decided to rent an industrial vacuum cleaner to make it easier for them to clean out any dust while the roof was open. I gave the vacuum to the builders and when I got back home they told me they had done everything by hand because Hire-it forgot to include the hose. When I brought it back I told them there was no hose, the guy who received the vacuum told me they should have told me it was inside the vacuum. To my surprise the guy behind the desk said I had to pay for the rental. I was asthonised they wanted money while they failed to give proper instructions. They let me speak to the owner by phone who was exceptionally rude and did not let me finish my sentences. He told me I should have phoned, I explained to him I had not been in the position because only when I came home I learned that there was no hose and the builders told me they had removed the dust already by hand, the the roof was already finished and closed by then. Then the owner said I should have phoned in the morning, but I had no reason for that since the roof was closed and we did not need the vacuum cleaner anymore. Then the owner said I was half an hour late returning the vacuum, which was clearly completely irrelevant to the discussion. I'll avoid this company in the future at all cost, complete waste of energy and time.</p>
