Hilton View B&B horrible experience
I booked to stay for 6 nights but ended up checking out after the first night due to many reasons. Firstly the property has dogs and I'm disputing the fact that it's not clearly stated on the advert here on booking.com Properties usually state that there is a dog in the property I know this because I had been looking around Hilton for the same dates and that was my challenge in finding a place as most properties have dogs but clearly stated on the advert. Secondly, that evening when I checked in I was waken up by an old lady banging my door screaming and yelling all kinds of things claiming I had been blocking her parking. Mind you this was the same parking spot I was parked on since checking in. Thirdly their rooms smell dusty. I imagined the room to have been closed for quiet some time by how it was smelling. I couldn't sleep properly as my sinuses were horrible that night. I coughed and sneezed through out that night. Icould literally smell dust. If I stayed there for the entire duration I would have been sick. I checked out after spending one night and the host assured me that I would be refunded and that he has made the cancellation on booing.com Because I still needed to be in Hilton I looked for another place. Struggled to get a booking immediately and had to drive back to Durban. I eventually secured another booking from booking.com from Friday to Sunday to which I drove back to Hilton on Friday. It's almost end of July. I haven't heard from the host. Does not answer calls and no response to WhatsApp texts.
