So Disappointed!

After frequenting this hotel for a few years i have never been so disappointed. My husband decided to surprise me with a night away for our anniversary and so booked a night at out favourite hotel. upon arrival we were greeted and informed that we had to pay for parking,this was not indicated in advance. the room we were in was decent but grubby. the balcony was filthy,filled with bird **** and muck. the room itself was clean but there were cracks in the wallpaper. the bathroom was mouldy in some places and the floor in the toilet seemed sticky. we made the most of it and spent the night. we then decided if we could move rooms we would stay another night. but upon calling reception, reservations were closed and they bluntly told us we would have to pay the same rate and pat for parking again.when i discovered the price i was disgusted, for a tiny room with barely any view it was R1900 a night. we then searched online and found a wonderful hotel twice the size for less than half the price and were definitely impressed by the second hotel. we are deeply disappointed by the lack of service aswell as the exorbitant prices we had to pay for such a terrible room and will not be returning
