GLASS INSTALLATIONS AND INCORRECT PRICING

My wife has just had the most terrible service from Highway Glass Centre. We have been adding on 2 rooms in our house and obviously one of the requirements was glass. Out of all the contractors we hired (including builders, electricians, furniture suppliers etc) Highway Glass were the only ones to demand payment up front. After paying them R4800.00 on the 8th of February we then had to contact them several times to find out when installation would happen, this only occurred on Friday 18/02/2017 long after promised. When the contractors arrived my wife asked if it was necessary to lock up my dogs and was told it was not a problem. She then went back to working in her office. She heard a crash and went outside to find that one of the dogs had bashed into the glass. She was told by the contractor that they would sort the problem out. This morning my wife was informed that they were willing to install a new panel of glass for R1100 however we would have to pay 50%. My wife got very angry as she said she had worked out they must be lying about the price of the glass as the original order was for 4 panes which meant the glass alone based on the new price should have been R4400. This meant for the 3 times they came to measure and install glass the total labour cost was R400 (to get back to the original R4800), this is not possible. My wife then continued to get more angry as she was told by the company representative that this was the right price so my wife ended up swearing at her. She asked my wife not to be vulgar and when my wife explained she was being vulgar because she knew the company representative was lying the woman informed my wife there was a big difference between lying and being vulgar and promptly put the phone down in my wife's ear. Further attempts to contact the manager on his cellphone have been ignored. Aside from HelloPeter where else can I post my rating of this company. The word must get out, we are all struggling in these financial times and being **** to over prices is just not right.
