Dishonest marketing and lies from the start!

We recently attended a weekend away with Hike Like a Girl, and honestly we were not impressed with the way George "sold" and "marketed" this all inclusive luxury event. 1. The "all inclusive" elements get less and less the closer you get to the event date. The wine & G&T that was included also included comments or eye rolling when you drank outside of the "prescribed times", we are adults and can decide for ourselves, we were there to enjoy ourselves. 2. The itinerary changes that were based on George's opinion only and not choices of the group is ridiculous. 3. From the moment we arrived, George tried talking us out of of the included game drive due to it maybe being too cold or "the rugby starts at 5pm". We were adamant that we wanted and PAID for a game drive and luckily due to the awesome venue and lodge manager we got our game drive. We later found out that he never even intended to have the game drive happen as that will cost additional and ultimately lower his profit. 4. This was not a hike but a walk on a dirt road on a game farm, for which we did not need a "guide" to show us the route, and even less have George walking with us, commenting on our conversations, or on our "behaviour", if I want to have a beer on my walk then let me, this is ultimately our weekend break and we wanted to enjoy it in our own way. Once again, we broke away from the group and walked on the mountain ridge next to the road - where you are actually in nature, walking though the most beautiful plant life and terrain - which you won't see from the road. 5. We did not understand the need for George to sit with us, eat with us or listen and comment in our conversations. 6. Day 2 - walk was once again on the road, and we refused to join. Luckily, the fantastic venue and lodge manager saved the day again and said we can walk anywhere on the farm, up any hill or mountain, after all wasn't that what we came to do? 7. It felt like we needed to ask for permission to enjoy ourselves and insist on what was promised to us. We are not children and did not need a babysitter. I understand that some people may enjoy walking on the road, and that is perfectly fine, but then be HONEST in the advertising!
