HIGHVELD VET CENTURION!!!

Highveld vet, Centurion.

Where to begin... this last week has been an absolute roller-coaster due to the TOTAL incompetence from both receptionist at this vet and no care for your pets from the vet herself.

Took my one dog for a check-up, got meds, wrong Surname listed. I thought, fine this is a small error I could overlook.

Then I took my 2 dogs for a surgery on the 24th of March at 7h30am, the procedure was going to take roughly 2 hours per dog, they said they'd call me at around 12 the same day, 12 comes and goes, at around 3h30pm, worried sick, I decided to go there and find out how the surgery went. The receptionist didn't even remember me from the morning of, served someone that came in after me first and then they said they sent an sms which I never got due to them sending it to the total wrong number (again information wrongfully captured by the receptionist) so I was not notified of any updates and they said they're call me, not sms, after R16 000 I expected a call. They then forget to give me my vet cards back, and barely enough pain medication for the night. Thereafter I still had to purchase more. They claimed they gave me discount (a price which THEY verbally quoted me which was R16 000 suddenly turned into R20 000 a few days later) they were done with my dogs no later than 1pm, they close at 6pm and made as if they did me a favor by discounting me R4000 which I have now paid in medication anyway.

I then needed to go back for a check-up again as things didn't look right and again, medicine is forgotten by the receptionist and not given to me, meaning I must drive my petrol out AGAIN, to collect it.

My last straw was today, my other dog is now not feeling well, I decided he needs to go to the vet to get a check-up, pitch up at Highveld vet on the morning of 1 April (just after 9am) just to be told that not one of the two vets are in today?! Pathetic to say the least! I take him to Bakenkop (great experience) and immediately they help me, at a much more affordable price too with the consultation included. While I'm there, I give the receptionist a call and ask what medication he's on (as I forgot all documentation at home since I thought I'd be going to the same vet) and she names one correctly, an old pain medication that he was on (he got new pain meds) and then just fails to list the new one...

The incompetence of the receptionists is appalling to say the least and the vets also clearly don't give a hoot on top of it all!

So wrong surname on my file, wrong number and no bother to even call me, vet cards not given back to me, not enough pain medication given to me to even last 2 days, wrong cone given which costed me ANOTHER R200 +, medicine now forgotten AGAIN, no vets present on a Friday morning to assist me with an emergency and all this after R18 100 +!! They simply just milked me by giving me wrong things, giving R700 antibiotics when they already made me pay for others which never worked, forgetting to give me my things and making it so that I needed more medication by not giving me enough, making me buy a new cone when they gave the wrong one and having me drive my petrol out when THEY forget to give me my belongings or meds at the counter that I paid for... I'm unemployed on top of it just to show you how compassionate they are!

My advice, go to a vet that is competent and has competent staff as well as compassion for animals, not ones that are in it for money!! They will never see me again, not even going back to remove their stitches by them, I'll much rather go to Bakenkop for all my needs from now on.
