This lodge seriously needs to be checked by Health

On booking in for December vacation, we were told how they had to remove crates and crates of bottles from the previous holidaymakers from the lodge we were to stay in by Martie. On entering the lodge, the smell of urine and vomit was unbearable. This is the filthiest place I have ever walked into. On taking this up with Martie, she became aggressive towards us claiming she washed the place with her own bare hands. At this stage we had only paid for half the price (the booking fee) and wanted to leave. She insisted on the rest of the money or else she would call the cops. We paid her the remainder. We ended up leaving soon after that as the smell was making us ill. The lodge was left very neat and washed down in dettol by us. To this day, we have not even received our R200 breakage fee from her. This is a holiday I wish to forget but feel compelled to warn others of. I think Health Inspectors should be sent to check the hygiene.
