NOT High Quality Paving

High Quality Paving was appointed by our Pool renovator for minor paving work.

However, we decided to make use of High Quality Paving to repair our existing paving, with the expectation that the quality of workmanship will stand up to the company name.

I discussed in detail with Mr Hannes Kroukam ***ner/Partner) regarding our paving requirements, including minor changes and repairs to existing work.

Mr. Hannes Kroukam thereafter met with my husband, and agreed to do the minor repairs and changes, stating the amount for material and labour would amount to R24,550.00.

My husband agreed to the above, and received an Invoice with no detail, stating “Quotation”.

Work was supposed to commence with two employees using a grinder for approximately two days, removing the old mix binding the paving.

The promise partially happened when one employee using the grinder for about one hour, cleaning the mix between the paving for about 16 sqm.

As required, a 50% payment in advance was made, before the commencement of work.

Hannes gained our trust, elaborating about his credentials with the result that we paid the balance, before the work was completed. We were convinced he would return the following Monday to complete the work we paid for and to clean up.

Unfortunately this did not happen. We were left with poor workmanship, our garden plants destroyed, cement powdering between the pavers, our hosepipes cut and damaged and a voice note on WhatsApp as he was driving out of our property on the Friday to say he has to rush as his trailer was blocking someone's driveway at another job.

To date, Mr Kroukam has not returned to complete the work, nor contacted us. We have sent him numerous emails, to which he did not respond.

As a dissatisfied client of High Quality Paving, we rate the work completed at most 1/5.

Pictures taken of the unacceptable work done will confirm our best rating at 1/5.

I certainly will not recommend High Quality!
