Cannot be trusted and expensive

I recently placed an order for a replacement of a pool pump with Hi Temp in Montague Gardens, Cape Town. I received a quotation and thereafter paid more than the required 50% deposit to confirm the order within 7 days as per request to secure the price. On the day of the installation, I received a call from Hi Temp sales manager saying there has been a price increase and will I approve the increase (around 15%). I told them that it is ridiculous and I will not accept and increase as I paid the deposit to secure the quoted price and the installation was just a few days later. The manager told me that they collect parts on the day of the installation and do not carry stock and cannot guarantee prices even if they quoted on it. The manager was adamant and said they will refund my deposit. They refunded my deposit a few days later but I had to look for another supplier and they caused much inconvenience for me. Fortunately I found a reputable pool company (Perfect Pools) that installed my new pump at a cheaper price that what Hi Temp originally quoted. Hi Temp cannot be trusted, and their business practices are *********. They are also way more expensive then some of their competitors. SG
