I took 4 quad tyres in for repair in polishing. On delivery of the tyres I was told verbally that no repair would be carried out without the verbal go-ahead from my husband. Cellular numbers were supp****, and I left. 6 phone calls later over a 24 hour period, not one call returned, we were quoted a figure that was more than purchasing new tyres. The quotation was declined. To their credit, Craig (very helpful) attempted to negotiate a better pricing which was still in our opinion ridiculous. My husband told me to fetch the tyres. On my arrival to collect the tyres, I was made to wait more than 15 minutes whilst the tyres were located, which were then thrown down (rims removed) from an upper work area. I was then advised that I had to pay a fee of R 300 or therabouts PER TYRE !! On enquiring what for, I was told for straightening and cleaning. At no time was authorisation given for any work of any kind to be done, in fact we were told twice that nothing would be done without verbal permission. I then naturally made a bit of a scene as to why I was being charged for unauthorised work. I walked out R 912.00 later !! Hitech handled this matter unprofessionally, but *********ly
