I hereby log a complaint against Hi-Tech Elements (Pty) Ltd for poor services rendered due to supplying under standard equipment and refusing to replace substandard equipment that failed the same day it was supp****.

On the 23rd of November 2016 we bought two(2) SS Tubular Assembly Heating Elements for the amount of R11 970.00 from Hi-Tech Elements (Pty) Ltd through our Electrician from CES Electrical, Henni. Full payment was made on that same day even though Hi-Tech only requested a 50% deposit.

On the 25th of November 2016 Henni advised us that the expected completion date that Hi-Tech gave would be around the 10th to the 12th of December 2016.

Heating Elements were delivered on the 10th of December 2016. The first unit was fitted which malfunctioned when they switched the unit on, thereafter the 2nd unit was fitted. We could then not get the desired temperature. Henni was informed immediately.

On the 16th of January 2017 a site visit was done. The machine and the elements was inspected. On this same day, our Production Manager requested an update from CES and Hi-Tech. Henni from CES then advised that Hi-Tech Elements will re-manufacture the element that failed. The Manager of Hi-Tech Elements also inspected the perforating machine. Henni said that he expects to have an answer back by tomorrow (17th of January) or Wednesday (18th of January).

Our Production Manager has followed up numerous of times to get this matter resolved, Hi-Tech kept on saying that the engineers are looking into the matter.

This matter has still not been resolved up until today, 10th of July 2017. We bought new elements in this period from another supplier for not even 20% of the amount paid to Hi-Tech which is working 100% and no difficulties were found since. To us Hi-Tech was ripping us off.

Hi-Tech has a “Warranty & Limitation of Liability” of 3 months from date of invoice. Hi-Tech should have replaced these elements OR refund Apac which has not been done.
