Right front suspension collapsed
On the 6th June 2015 Hi-Q amongst other work replaced the right front CV joints as well as the shock absorber on my car, a VW Citi Golf
On the 17th June 2015 the right front wheel collapsed as a result of the lower swivel ball joint disengaging from the socket that holds the wheel assembly in place. This occurred as a result of the Pinch bolt which should have held the lower swivel joint in place no longer being there.
Fortunately this occurred at slow speed in my driveway, had it occurred at 120kmh, my son who is the regular driver could have been seriously injured or killed as could other innocent road users. Mr van der Wald came and had a look at the car and offered to repair the damage. As Hi-Q was unable to do a satisfactory repair the first time, I am not prepared to let them have another go at the car. I wanted the car to be repaired by the agents which he refused to pay for.
