Hi-Q (Mossebay) Towbar Supply & Fitment - R6,100

I was initially very impressed with the service. Communication was fast and professional. I received callbacks promptly, and the team was excellent in sourcing and ordering the towbar. Lead time was very fast, and everything was arranged without hassle.

However, during the installation, visible damage was caused to the bumper that was removed in the process:

The right-side edge of the bumper had chipped paint, suggesting the bumper was not adequately supported during cutting and may have sc****d against the ground.

Beneath both tail lights, paint was also chipped – possibly due to the use of inappropriate tools (such as using a *****driver) when removing the lights.

While the towbar itself appears properly installed, the cosmetic damage to the vehicle was disappointing.

When I raised these concerns, I acknowledged that there was a pre-existing scratch on the bumper. Despite this, Francois van der Walt (Co-Owner) refused to discuss the matter professionally. He stormed off, dismissively claiming the bumper already had scratches, without acknowledging the newly caused damage. This dismissive attitude after a legitimate concern significantly soured the overall experience.

In short, great initial service let down by poor workmanship and unacceptable customer handling when an issue arose.
