HiQ Cape Town City - Buitengracht Street - SHOCKING SERVICE, stay AWAY

I went to HiQ in Cape Town City, Buitengracht Street. NEVER EVER again, any HiQ.

Do NOT go to this place to change your tyres. ABSOLUTELY the worst service, EVER. I can't give a zero star rating as the system doesn't allow it, otherwise I would. They put on the WRONG size tyres, all 4 of them. I was wondering why the car seemed so high, even asked them to reduce the tyre pressure. Only after driving away did I check that (a) the tyres were not old stock and (b) that they were the right size. Ursula Fredericks claims to be the manager and owner of the shop. She answered my call, and said they would replace with the correct size tyres - they would check stocks etc. and call me back. After 2 hours of not hearing anything I drove back to the shop, only for Ursula to tell me that we had agreed that I would be back in an hour - I said "no, we had agreed you would call me to tell me status of replacement tyres etc.". She denied this. I asked if that then meant I was a ****. She said "yes" (***???). She also denied that oversized tyres could damage the vehicle - like a 2mm gap between the tyre and the wheel well may not cause damage when the car is loaded? They are absolutely clueless. Then they rolled in the 'replacement' tyres, which weren't even close to being the same tyres - again, Ursula acted as if they were. I asked her to please read the name of the tyres to see if they were the same or not, to which she answered that she wasn't my child. I asked for an immediate refund, and for my old tyres to be put back on the vehicle. They started working on this. When I asked the fitment guys on the workshop floor if they had balanced the old tyres that they were now putting on again (need to balance again as they had removed the lead from previous balancing), they said "no". How in hell can you put tyres back on a vehicle without balancing them? And through all of this, do you think ever that they focused on customer service? Calling customers "*****", while fitting the wrong tyres, only to then try fit a DIFFERENT type of tyre on return, AND then not balancing the old tyres when I told them to reverse the whole process and that they are a joke....and Ursula still thinks I am the one with poor customer service. HiQ, you will NEVER see me at ANY branch anywhere, ever again. I suppose Head Office will have their tail between their legs and not have the decency to contact me to explain how such ridiculous behaviour befits their brand. You know what is scary? Some people don't even know what size tyres they are needing, and just drive away assuming everything has been done correctly. DO NOT PUT YOUR LIFE IN DANGER BECAUSE OF THESE PEOPLE. Go ANYWHERE else but this HiQ, seriously. It was a R10k job also. They are useless and unpleasant and unprofessional. STAY AWAY. (When I said to Ursula, the "manager", that I would put up the reviews of her shocking customer service on social media, she said "Go ahead, I don't care". I'm surprised she still has a job, or is allowed to operate with business partners, really. Wouldn't last ONE day in any self-respecting company)

Good day Mr Sacerdote - we apologise for the misunderstanding with regards to the size of tyre fitted. We acted in good faith at the time.

We ask that you apologise for your outburst in the shop- for swearing & shouting at Ursula & her staff.

Let us all move on.

Yours faithfully
Hi-Q Cape Town
