Very disappointed – misleading “plug and cook” advertising

I recently bought the Univa U405-1 stove from Hifi Corp mainly because it was advertised as energy efficient and “plug and cook”, meaning it comes with a cable and plug already installed and does not require an electrician. This was a major selling point for me.

When the stove was delivered, there was no cable attached at all. Hifi Corp then told me I must buy a cable separately and also pay an electrician to install it. This is completely contrary to what was advertised and is, in my opinion, misleading.

I explained this to both Hifi Corp and Univa, but neither was willing to resolve the issue. Had I known this beforehand, I would have chosen a different brand.

I feel I should at least have been provided with the cable and plug as advertised. This experience has left me very disappointed and frustrated. I will never trust Hifi Corp again.
