******** behavior and bad service from Jabu Ngidi at hi to Corp pine crest

I bought a tv as a Christmas present from the Glen shopping mall in jhb to take to my gran in Kzn. The next day when I was to leave my car was full so I went back to the glen to get a refund so I can buy the tv in Kzn. The instore staff issued me a gift card even though the tv was bought the day before and I produced all necessary documents. When I arrived in Kzn, my older sister had arrived 2 days before me and had purchased a tv for gran so when I took the tv back your sales manager Jabu Ngidi from the pinetown store refused to give me my money back saying that because it came from a gift card she cannot. At that moment I did not have my receipt with me but because the tv was bought the day before they did pull out all of my paper work as the store kept copies. Jabu then went to the phone to call the people from the Glen and came back to me to say I need to go back to the glen and they will give me my money as she will put the money back into the gift card again. One of the staff members mentioned something about making their daily budget and that a refund will set them back. So clearly your staff is trained to take money and not give back even when it is within the customers lawful right. Now what makes me mad is that Jabu had the nerve to lie to me and tell me that she has handled the situation and all I need to do is go to the glen and I will get my money. The manager at the Glen had not agreed to that adding more frustration and anger to already a bad service I have received with hi fi Corp. Your senior manager Jabu Ngidi not only doesn’t shift the issue to another store but also lies to customer. Is this how the business standards are? Senior managers lying and taking us for a joke. She went on to say she cannot assist me as head office is closed. Does this business run without regional managers who are there to assist in store guys when they fail to manage situations like these? The worst part is in both the stores your floor teams know me by name as I purchase items in a monthly basis in your stores ranging from tvs, home theatre system, washing machine to blenders. After this I will no longer be setting foot into any of the stores as there is ******* and ******** behavior being carried out by your senior staff. I am highly disappointed in your brand of this is the way the business wants to staff to behave. Take money but don’t be helpful when it comes to giving it back. I am highly disappointed in a business like this as I was always the first person to tell friends and family to go to hi fi Corp as they offer competitive prices. No more. I would not wish for anyone to go through what I went through just to get my money back and the lies from your senior manager Jabu Ngidi as he behavior may even go unpunished.
