Unethic and unprofessional business practice
On the 26June 2020 I bought a 39inch Diamond brand for my 70 year old mother,Lydia Phillipus. The TV was switched on as during testing and it showed on and the salesperson Tebogo packed it but then there was no remote control inside the box.We had to ask for it and they ran around looking for it,he was assisted by his colleague Trevor if not mistaken with the name. By the time they gave it to us,i had to request assistance to the car which Tebogo did grumbling. When we arrive at my mothers place which is in Barkly west ,36km from Kimberley the next day the TV was put on but the remote didnt work. On the 29th i brought the remote back to the shop but it was found out that its working on similar TV brand and size but the difference was that its sensor was visible but the one I bought was not.I was told to bring back the TV to the store and because i am at work i send my daughter to go fetch it and bring it to the store which she did today 2July 2020.They first said they cant help without the TV License owner, she drove back to Barkly west to go fetch my mother but on arrival they were told the TV License system is off line. At this point my mother went back home without her TV but they kept the TV I bought. Another trip had to be arranged back to the store and this time I wonder if they will assist without my mother, the TV Licence owner. The manner of assistance in this store is a disgrace. Who is going to pay me back for these unnecessary trips that cost me petrol? This is not the first time i buy from this store, years back when they were at Diamond Pavillon Mall I had an excellent service and the product I bought are still working. What i saw this time is a total disaster to this business ethics and profession. I demand my petrol money back and prompt replacement of the TV or they have to pay me my R2 699.00 back immediately. Please help i am frustrated.
