TV sent for repairs and never returned

I reported my Sansui TV with a defect to Hi-Fi Corp who in turned asked Powercare to collect it from my home for repairs. I was contacted by Pretoria Appliance & TV (Supplier of Powercare) and was informed that there was nothing wrong with it.

I have contacted Hi-fi Corp soon after Pretoria Appliance & TV notification about my TV and 3 weeks has now past with a lot of promises from Hi-Fi Corp but no TV was delivered.

I decided to drive to Pretoria Appliance & TV at about 14H00 on the 20 July 2015 and was informed that the Manager was in a meeting and would speak to me about the TV. The Receptionist said that they can't release the TV without Powercare's authorisation. I phoned them, spoke to a lady saying she will phone me back in 5 min. Still waiting for the call.

I then overheard the telephone conversation between Powercare and Mr Dietschmann. It quickly became very clear that the TV were at the service agent and that the real reason for withholding the TV from me is because Powercare had an outstanding balance of R 26 000-00 and no payments have been made since Febr 20.

I left with MY television set in the end. Will never use Hi-Fi Corp ever again.
