Turned away for wanting to make a purchase on Lay-by.

I visited the HiFi Corp Hazyview store this morning to purchase the Samsung 15kg AI Top Loader Charcoal WA80F15S5CFA. It is on special for R6999. Initially, no staff member assisted me, and I could not see anyone on the floor, so l left the store. I returned and headed to the customer service desk. A staff member assisted me. I asked for this model machine because I did not see it in the store. He checked the system and confirmed it was on special. I asked to please purchase the item on Lay-by, and what the process will be. He told me he can't sell to me as he only has two units in stock. So I can nto buy the item.

I have never been turned away for wanting to purchase an item. I was also not aware that Lay-by customers are treated differently from cash or credit customers.
