Terrible Service – No Stock, Empty Promises & Long Refund Wait

On 4 August, we went to HiFi Corporation to buy a dishwasher that was advertised on special. The Klerksdorp branch had no stock and told us to order it online. We did exactly that.

On 5 August, I phoned HiFi Klerksdorp to find out why I had no delivery information. They phoned back saying the Rustenburg branch had my order and would contact me. They never did.

Today, head office phoned to say they have no stock and offered another dishwasher. I agreed—only if it had the same specifications as the one I paid for. A few minutes later, they called back saying they can’t match the specs and would have to order from the supplier, which would take 3–4 weeks. I explained I cannot wait that long and asked for a refund. They agreed, but said it will take 7 working days for the money to be returned.
