Taking payment for items that aren't in stock

Ordered and paid for a printer only to receive an email that the item was not in stock and that my money will be refunded in 7-10 days. However, Everyshop and HifiCorp are the same company - and the printer is listed as In Stock with Everyshop. Even Takealot lets customers know availability before they complete their purchase. What kind of company are you HifiCorp/Everyshop?
