Still waiting for my TV from HiFi Corporation Jabulani Mall
Good Day Sir/Madam My name is Khabonina Mntambo a very dissatisfied customer of Hi-Fi corporation. I bought a JVC TV at a Hi-Fi corporation store about three years ago ,2015 august I paid R11 500. This TV was wall mounted from the day it arrived at my house until about late last year when it suddenly functioned no more. I then took the TV back to the store so the store can assess and tell me what was wrong, the procedure before they accept anything returned by customers is they have to check physically whether there is any obvious damage on the devices and note it so both parties can agree on the condition of the TV, this was done and I was given the green light to leave it with them as they told me they would contact me for any further queries. After a while I was made aware that my warranty period had lapsed and the store is no longer able to assist me. I then verified this and went back to the store to get it back, when I got there one of the staff members went to the storeroom to fetch for me. My TV was wrapped with some type of bubble wrap and I took it home in that state. When I got home and unwrapped my TV I then realised that it now had a big crack on the screen it was Saturday January on Monday 1st thing I called the asking about the broken screen the lady told me that I took the wrong TV. That’s when I realise they must have given me a wrong TV. I called the store and told them what I thought had happened but the store were telling me that’s the TV I left with them. Now here is what I raised with them 1. The security at the door did not check the TV like he did when I took the TV in, the bubble wrap was never removed. 2. When I the TV’s serial number and could not locate it I’m told that model had no serial number and has a blank white sticker instead, this was the fault of the TV manufacturers not them. 3. When I persisted with this issue as I wanted to know how their products are tracked or verified after they leave their store they told me that the entire database of that store had somehow been erased. 4. I then told them that it is highly convenient on their part that a database could just be erased and that they take no responsibility for not being able to track my device and the manager conceded that from his side he can’t help me with anything but that future products from JVC now have serial numbers unlike the one they sold me. 5. Since November 2018 I had no TV my kids are crying day and night cause I can’t buy another TV. I’m am tired with this whole situation I would really appreciate if you can assist me in any way possible in this matter, I’m willing to provide all the information you may require. Thank you.
