Smart TV with NO remote!

I purchased a SANSUI TV 55STY1955 FHD LED SMART in the store for R6499.90 as per what I saw on the website. When they opened the TV to test there was no remote control inside. The salesman then went to the back to see if there was stock of a remote in another TV and behold - NOTHING in that box either. I agreed to take the TV on the basis that I would get a remote control in 1 week as promised. I was called after 4 days by the salesman saying that I have to go back into the store and ask the manager myself because apparently this TV has been discontinued. That is strange because it is still being advertised in the website. Please can someone assist me in getting my remote because the TV functions are practically useless without it!!!
