Save yourself a lot of trouble by avoiding purchasing anything from HiFi

As many other South Africans I was looking for a good deal on Black Friday and had purchased a new television set for our household. Completed the necessary paperwork and was now requested to upload a valid tv license in order to complete my order. Uploaded our households tv license which is in my wife's name along with certified copy of our marriage certificate incase of any issues. I was then advised by HiFi that due to the account being in my name and the tv license was in my wife's name that they could not fulfil my order and needed to provide a tv license that is in my name. Obviously as there is not a requirement for each individual in a household to own a tv license and felt that HiFi was being unreasonable I requested my order be cancelled and my money be refunded or this is what I had hoped for. Kindly note I had requested the cancellation on the 27 Nov 2018 and today im writing this on 19 Dec 2018 still waiting for HiFi corp to refund me. Additionally HiFi sent customers a email on 28th Nov stating that "Please note you have 24 hours to process the payment (of tv license), otherwise as per our Black Friday Promotion terms and conditions, we will have to refund you the purchase price of the TV." That 24 hour period has come and gone long ago and guess what.... I still don't have my refund. It is almost a full calendar month and I'm still awaiting my refund so to save yourself any hassles, please avoid this place.
