REFUND MY MONEY

Bought a wifi rooter from them, took it back the next day, refused to refund me i had to pay R250 because we opened the box, how should we have checked if it worked or not? Have to go back for a third time now because apparently they don't have enough money to pay me back after i paid the R250 What ****ing bull**** is this?
