I would strongly recommend you avoid purchasing appliances from hifi Corp. I'm not one to write bad reviews but the service I received from Hifi Corp is just disgusting. I went into their Kenilworth branch on Saturday to look for a washing machine, my husband and I spent 10 minutes in the store and not a single consultant approached us to offer assistance. Instead they were chatting amongst each other so we left to take our business elsewhere.

We went to the N1 city Hifi Corp and decided to purchase a washing machine at their branch that would be delivered from their DC and not store because they didn't have stock. For this I paid an additional R200 on top of the normal delivery cost. I receive an sms saying delivery will take place on 17/02 so I proceed to take a half day off to receive the appliance. Hours go by and I haven't received a call. I proceed to phone the branch who promises to call the DC and delivery service and get back to me, 3 hours later - nothing. I phone again and speak to lady by the name of Tasneem who puts me on hold for 5 minutes to enquire, my airtime runs out, I get no call back. 20 minutes later I phone again and get through to Tasneem and verbatim was told "I'll put you through to my manager because I cannot run around for this and not get answers". Excellent customer service Hifi N1 City. She puts me through to her managers line who inevitably doesn't answer. A few minutes later, I phone again and a different person answers the phone where I'm told that they don't handle deliveries and if I want information regarding my delivery, I will need to contact the DC/couriers myself. Because you know - to hell with me, you've taken my money already so no need to be courteous any longer. Needless to say I've been calling the DC/courier for 2 hours trying to find out when my delivery will take place as I have taken time off work to receive a delivery they confirmed would arrive today. I haven't got through to anybody that's given me proper feedback and Hifi N1 city is subsequently ignoring my calls.

Be rest assured that my husband and I and our family will make a point to never again support your business and would rather pay a little extra for the common decency and respect that your organization lacks.
