Printer problems

I bought a Canon Pixma G2430 Mega Tank printer from Hi Hi Corporation on 10 August 2024, Newcastle KZN for the price of R 1999.00 with a warranty of of 3 years. After 3 days of use, the lines did not pick up as I printed. I took the printer I and explained my problem. The Technician corrected it and after 2 days I was back explaining that the problem still existed. He suggested it was the settings on my laptop. I took my laptop in and after that the problem still existed. I went back three times when I was told that the Printer had a problem and had to be send back for repairs and evaluation to see where the problem was. This will take between 14 to 21 days. I do private business and need a printer on a daily basis and cannot afford to wait that period due to approximately R 20 000 lost in income. I told the Technician to either replace it or to give me a printer that costs a little bit more than the original price for the ******* I bought but was refused. Can I Demand them to get me a similar printer with the cost of ink I paid for as a refund? One promise I make, is that I will go to Facebook and tell all persons never to buy any products from Hi Fi Corporation because their after service stinks. The Technicians was helpful and tried his best to assist me and I believe he is just following protocols. Can I be allowed to claim a new printer or money back plus the money I spent on buying ink tote amount of nearly R1 000.00? Please assist as I made myself a promise never to purchase any product from Hi-Fi corporation again and will also tell others to rather purchase products from other suppliers. My question is that you buy a vehicle and the engine packs up after 3 days, will you be satisfied to drive that vehicle for another few years???? You will always be in doubt tat the engine may pack up at anytime. Please assist. I am losing money for 14 to 21 days and as a pensioner who need extra income, I cannot afford to lose income.
