PRICING AND ADVERTISING IS FALSE

Despite a product (50 inch Phillips led television) being advertised for R4999 (we have a photograph) we were told, when we got to the paypoint, that the price advertised does not include the R700 warranty and, if we choose not to take the warranty, the price then increases to R5999. This is ridiculous! <br> <br> We were at the store yesterday, asked an employee (unsure of his name) for the biggest tv being sold for R5000 or less and this was the product shown to us. The employee only indicated that the amount of R4999 does not include the bracket which would cost an additional R209. The employee said that he would speak to his manager to see if we could perhaps work out a deal which would include the bracket for R5000, as we are purchasing same for the retirement village we manage and we were only provided with said amount by the directors.<br> <br> Speaking to the store manager, he merely said that the price for the tv, without the warranty, is R5999 and the cost is only R4999 if the additional R700 is paid for the warranty.<br> <br> We are etremely dissatisfied with this and believe that this is false advertising.<br> <br> We believe that we should be able to purchase the product for the amount advertised!<br>
