Pre-approved - but have to redo whole application instore (no reference) - Suddenly rejected.

An absolute waste of my time.

App**** online for Store card

Receive email and sms - "Congratulations you are pre-approved for R65000. Please take your id, payslip and 3 months bank statement to nearest Hifi corp and quote reference number ******"

So I do - Give reference number - lady tells me we have to redo the whole application, they don't use the reference number.

Want to give her wife's information as we are joint owners of a house with a bond that she is paying. She says - "I will put your wife's income as 0 otherwise we need to get all her paperwork as well" (Not something that was requested)

I tell her, I cannot pass affordibility if my wife is not included, as it is a joint homeloan. She carries on regardless.

Effect - after wasting 40 minutes of my life, I get rejected due to unaffordibility. My bank statements show that I do not contribute to the homeloan at all (I paid the deposit) and that I have over R16 000 a month in my account after my 2 small (up to date) accounts are paid.
