Pepcor nightmare at Hifi Corp

I am a terminally ill 63 year old social pensioner. Who was trying to get my grandson Christmas presents and during shopping at pep store in Cornubia durban I spoke to a lovely Gentleman who offered me an account... which I considered as he told me I would be able to purchase at all pepcor stores. .Including hifi corp and tekkie town to name a few .. and if I join + more and download the app which I did .. I would get specials and extra discounts etc. so I have been told by pep store employee and by +more and several sites on the net that.... if I open a Pep store account I can buy at ALL pepcor shops including hifi corp.

Now remember I am a social pensioner money is at a premium and I want to be able to give my grandson's a lovely present before I die as it's my last Christmas. Hence I opened the account as I would have enough time left to pay what I buy for now.

So yesterday I spent my precious R200 in Uber fees to go to Springfield branch of hifi corp.. I chose what I wanted to buy as Christmas gifts for my grandson and proceeded to the till where I was told pep cards are not accepted, By a very short and sweet cashier .. I tell her pep stores said I can .. . She then calls a till controller who says no they, pep store cards, don't work we not sure why..... You need to open a hifi corp account. As my pep account is new I had all the documents required with me and my daughter, here cced, and I was shown to a cubical by a very friendly till controller where we sat waiting for around 15 minutes .. then a very stern looking unfriendly woman appeared she stood looming over me where I was sitting... like I was dirt ..looking down her nose at me .. so you want an account she said . The till controller tried to explain the Pep card story but she ignored him. .. then.....she picked up my bank statement and said at the top of her voice ... you don't earn enough you only get pension... You need to earn R3500 or we both interested . She said it so loud the whole shop heard.. I have never been so embarrassed and degraded in a store I was told I had an account and could buy there now I been degraded and I am out of pocket by R200 to travel there to be treated worse than a flea infested dog i am disgusted and demand that this gets sorted out... why if I am told I can buy there.. even by your pep store staff.. am I treated this way.. I am going to the newspaper I have never in all my life been treated so badly I demand you sort this out.. I am heartbroken I done all his work and opened the account and now I can't buy my babies a gift the last one they will ever get from me .. I am devastated.. I tried complaining on hifi corp website but it conveniently doesn't work same as pepcor one.. Thanking you Michelle Thorne
