No insurance on my goods that i bought

I bought a few items from the end of march 2019. In October this year my 54 inch tv was ****** i reported the matter with the police and the store as well. Little did i learn when i phone and went to the store as well that my items are not insured for theft. I am so frustrated as i am told i was paying for warranty and not insurance. I mean i feel like i was Misinformed i took the staff on account right now i am paying for staff i dont have. I am loosing my mind here. How is that possible. The lady i spoke to when i got there said to me they never used to have theft insurance until march this year and i said to jer but i bought feom you in march this year. She said well i dont know but you were not covered.

How do i pay for what o dont have how. :***
