Good Evening please assist me here I purchased a television 55inch Sinotec back in 2019 July at hifi coperation Prominade mall in Cape Town and was advised by the sales man to take insurance for it since it was a big TV and I did..there has been a ******* at my house 2 days ago and I went to the shop to claim for the TV and the lady said I must go do an affidavit since I no longer have the invoice ,I asked her cant they check in the system using my ID No she said no with an attitude even. I went to the police station to do the affidavit since I had already opened the case on the night of the incident and they gave me the case No. I went back to the shop with the bank statement showing the purchase date and amount,my certified ID copy and the affidavit as requested and the lady on duty told me they wont even bother submitting these documents because they do not have insurance of more than 2 years…I told the lady that when I bought the TV the terms and conditions of the insurance were never mentioned to me, had I known that it was only 2years I would have not taken it..when you take insurance its a just incase situation you never know what is going to happen and when it is going to happen but they were excited with the “commission” no one cared to explain ..now that it is time to claim they are referring to the fine print details..I need my TV.
