I was sold a TV with a chip on the corner

I trust you are well. I am not getting any assistance from Hi-fi Corp Fourways. They mentioned that it is my responsibility contact head office of which the ***number is not working. I went to collect a TV yesterday. They checked the TV in store and it was working. I took my TV and went home straight. I opened it and there was a crack from the corner. I took it back in today to the shop and they say there is a chip on the corner of the TV and they say that i inspected the TV before I took it out. I did not check for any chips on the corner of the tv honestly because I assume it is protected by foam and the tv was transported home with foam over the corners. There is no way that this TV got a chip in the 30 minute drive I took home. I literally took out the tv on a blanket. That TV did not get chipped under my care. Can someone please assist with this matter. HI-FI corp fourways cannot prove that their guys also checked this TV for any chips. We just checked whether this TV was visually working.
