HIFI corporation - When a retailer displays the wrong price online

<p>This morning I was browsing through a catalogue on HIFI corporation special online , there was a phone called Samsung galaxy J1 smart cellphone lte sm - J120F black, the price mentioned on the phone was R229.00. I went and registered on the HIFI corporation online and ordered the two phones on the click and collect option immediately and received confirmation tha the order has been placed. I had also made a screen dump of the phone and the price as well and has sent it one of my friends and she placed an order as well , however for delivery. Around 11 or so I received a call from a lady saying she is calling from HIFI corporation and advised that there was an error made on the price and it's actually R2299.90 and not the R229.00 stated on the phone earlier on this morning. I feel that false advertising was made and the retailer should have double checked everything before putting the item/s online. I have also got the screen dump of the confirmation that the order has been placed. I have made a comment on their Facebook page as well. I feel that the same principal of what you see is what you pay should be at play here. Kindly see attached screendump and advise further, thank you. </p>
