HiFi Corporation & JD Group Extended Warranty Woes

<p>Background:</p> <p>I’m a landlord with an extended warranty on the stove where my tenant is renting that has not been repaired or replaced. This gross negligence is causing unnecessary friction between me and my tenant and may affect my rental income.</p> <p> </p> <p>2016-04-10:</p> <p>Tenant informed me that the stove plates are no longer functioning correctly.</p> <p>2016-04-11:</p> <p>Provide tenant with the HiFi Corporation contact number.</p> <p>2016-04-13:</p> <p>Provided tenant with the extended warranty and slip documentation.</p> <p>2016-04-20:</p> <p>Technician went onsite and informed tenant that plates will be replaced in 2 days.</p> <p>2016-04-29:</p> <p>Tenant informed me that the technician has not come back and that Lucas Bheka is attending to the complaint.</p> <p>2016-05-05:</p> <p>I called the HiFi Corporation branch and was transferred to Lucas Bheka to check on the progress. I was informed that Lucas is on leave and will be back on 2016-05-06.</p> <p>2016-05-06:</p> <p>Tenant informed me that he has spoken to Lucas 3 times and nothing has been done. I called Lucas again and he informed me that it will take at least a week.</p> <p>2016-05-07:</p> <p>Tenant informed me that a HiFi Corporation executive called him on Sa****ay and promised that a technician will be sent out on Monday 2016-05-09.</p> <p>2016-05-09:</p> <p>Tenant informed me that a technician came out Monday 2016-05-09 and he informed the tenant that it’s a duplicate complaint.</p> <p>2016-05-12:</p> <p>My tenant is getting angry with me regarding the stove. I inform Lucas Bheka that I no longer want the plates replaced as this is taking way too long, I want a new stove.</p> <p>2016-05-13:</p> <p>I call Lucas and ask for feedback, he informs me that he is waiting of authorisation from head office as I would like to have the stove replaced.</p> <p>2016-05-14:</p> <p>I call Shashi Sing as I’m informed that Lucas isn’t there at the moment. I send the warranty and slip documentation through to Shashi for feedback and I’m just informed that Lucas is working on it.</p> <p>2016-05-16:</p> <p>I call Lucas and he informs me that there has been no feedback from head office.</p> <p>2016-05-17:</p> <p>I call Lucas Bheka for feedback just to hear that he no longer works for the company and that Rufus will now assist. At this point I’m aware that I’m dealing with an *********** bunch and decided to call head office as no progress is made.</p> <p>The managers Morne Bota or Shashi Sing didn’t take any ownership of my complaint they just transferred me to Lucas Bheka.</p> <p> </p> <p>Head office:</p> <p>2016-05-17:</p> <p>I call head office and speak to Melissa. She informs me that I should have called head office from the start. I inform Melissa that this was never communicated to me during the entire process and I will not take any of the blame for HiFi Corporation’s truly pathetic service. Melissa logs a call at head office. I inform Melissa that I was a new stove not the replacement of the plates.</p> <p>2016-05-18:</p> <p>Call Melissa to follow up and I’m informed that the call will be escalated. I inform Melissa that I’ll call again the afternoon and if there is no progress I’ll log a Hello Peter call.</p> <p> </p> <p>Called Simone and she informed me that she will escalate the call and that I’ll receive a call before the end of the day.</p> <p> </p> <p>2016-05-19:</p> <p>I've received no contact from HiFi Corporation or JD Group and have decided to write a review to document their horrific service.</p>
