HiFi Corp - Selling Returned Faulty Electrical Appliances as New

On 3 January 2020 at 10:29 am, I bought a Sansui Steam Iron from the HiFI Corp branch located at the President Hyper in the Vaal. The iron i purchased was taken off the shelf already packed in its Sansui product packaging. Due to the festive season, i tried to use the Iron but it would not power up or no electrical connection was evident. The power cord electrical plug is filthy dirty and the bottom of the Iron is scratched.

It is obvious the what i thought was a new Sansui Steam Iron was previously sold and or used in the stored. Why are Hifi Corp sell returned products under warranty and trying to sell faulty products as new?

Let this be a warning, i will not be shopping and or buying any products from HiFi Corp. I am going to list my complaint with the Consumer Council of South Africa as i am out of pocket as a direct result of HiFi Corp selling faulty goods which i have to return and insist they cover my travelling cost.
