HiFi Corp Sell Defective Goods

I buy all my electronics at HiFi corp but I dont recomend doing that anymore. On November 25th I saw a Russell Hobbs Kettle & Flatscreen TV online during Black Friday. Because I was going overseas, I went into the Springfield store the next day to buy them instead of online as I wouldn’t be at home for deliveries. I dealt with Shane & was told that the Kettle was R699 not R399 as advertised. I went online on my phone in the store and the price of the kettle was now advertised at R429 online not R699. Shane said I had to buy online to get that price. I tried to buy online & select the store collect option but the site wouldn’t allow me to go further and select Springfield. So I asked Vino at the till to get a manager to help & was told manager wasn’t in so I was forced to buy the kettle at R699 because no-one was available to help.

I get home and noticed the kettle lid doesn’t close. I thought oh well I can live with that..........but then when I get back from overseas I notice that the kettle also leaks from the spout!

But wait, that’s not all, because they have so much music playing in store I didn’t check the sound of the TV when I bought it and when I got it home the sound from the TV is absolutely diabolical. So I tried to connect it to my Home Theatre (which I also bought from HiFi Corp) and the 'sound out' on the TV doesn’t work either! Now the TV is already fixed to the wall and wired up!

Strike 3 - I also bought a DSTV remote eye and I specifically asked Shane if it would work with DSTV and he said yes. Well that doesn’t work either. So, as a regular and loyal customer I purchased 3 items and all of them are defective which is simply shocking.
