HiFi Corp needs to take accountability for poor management and ********* practices
Purchased 10 laptops, asked for an exchange for 4 devices which was faulty. Manager invaded personal account and wanted to install software himself and failed to exchange 1 laptop that does not work at all, would give me a refund provided I pay a handling fee on all devices returned. He assisted a white female customer next to me with a similar issue and exchanged her product despite it being almost 30 days old and mine under 24 hours. She herself said to me to report him because this is nonsense and she said to him her date is nearly 30days old and ours a few hours why won’t he help us.
He was being ****** and kept saying that he has a IT Degree, he then called a cell phone number to someone who he said was a Microsoft expert who has no dealing with the store, was not even present, who after being questioned by my husband admitted that he is just a sales rep and cannot assist. He refused to assist us, we requested for all of this information as well as the way in which the matter was handled to be put on an email he omitted information. He gave me the faulty laptops back and said I must do whatever I want, he basically doesn’t care he is even willing to loose all that money for a handling fee. The man that assisted us Angelo was very helpful he agreed to swop the machines and even sourced it for us but to his surprise the manager did not allow this to happen. Both him and the supervisor agreed that the manger is difficult and they don’t know why, they were embarrassed and confused by his approach Other staff also approached us and agreed it made no sense but they were afraid to do anything because of their jobs. He seems abusive toward his own staff for them to communicate about him the way that they do. I am dissatisfied with the management of this place and how my situation was handled especially because we have been doing this for over 15years and experienced this for the first time. A manger wanting my passwords to my personal account to install software that should have come with the product as it was sold to me by the sales man and written on the box. He was red in the face with anger, refused to assist and HiFi corp image and branding is totally ruined, i feel it is extremely silly to loose a deal any deal even if its R50.00, money is money and so is business and no one would jeopardize their business like this unless they dont care like Daniel Van Vuuran, who should go on a management course and anger management classes.
