HIFI CORP CUSTOMER SERVICE - BLACKHEATH BRANCH, JOHANNESBURG

Last Monday on the Public holiday I had the absolute pleasure of visiting this store to make a purchase. My visits to some of the other HIFI CORPS I've visited have not always been great. Staff standing around talking to each other... Not knowing their product to name a few niggles. I have to say I was not looking forward to going into a branch of theirs but their TV special was too good not to miss. I walked into the shop and saw their were not many staff and I thought "here we go again..stay calm...get the TV and leave". I could not have been more wrong! I asked the first lady I saw for some help and she came forward with a great smile and took me to show me the TV and DVD player I was interested in. I asked her if it would be hard to set up (I have an Explora) . She said no it was easy... Which they all day...and them proceeded to explain to me how to do it - in layman's terms! At the same time I saw 2 ladies hard at work on a huge display TV and they greeted me. I went to pay and while I was waiting the lady who assisted me said she was going to go and would be back to help me check the TV at security and then help me put it in my car. She continued doing what she had been doing when I interrupted her. I get to the till and after the cashier has loaded everything on the system I give my bank card which is promptly declined! I go into a panic because I know there's enough credit on it. I call my bank and they ask if the lady could try a different paypoint. I don't even say anything and the next cashier starts putting ALL the info into the second "till". It works.. we're all laughing and my panic has gone. I then say I would like to speak to the Manager. I get to the Manager who happens to be one of the ladies working on the big TV display. I tell her how amazed and happy I am with the first class assistance I have experienced and that I have never seen such incredible teamwork. I get to security and sure enough the lady is waiting for me. She carries it to my car and loads it. We have to take into account this was the Easter weekend and month end. These ladies must have been run off their feet most of the weekend. By Monday, if it was me, I'm sure I would not have been do upbeat and professional. I want to extend the LARGEST bouquet to the Manager of the Blackheath HI FI CORP and her awesome staff. It was clear to me she led by example and that was why nothing was too much for her staff. I got home and in no time, thanks to my simple instructions, was laid back and watching my new TV with a happy heat too.
